American Club Denmark President Stephen Schueler, grandson of US Ambassador to Denmark and Switzerland celebrates anniversary at US Ambassador Residence

Stephen Schueler, great grandson of US Ambassador to Denmark and Switzerland, Dr. Michael Cramer. Michael Cramer was originally from Ohio and was Ambassador to Denmark from 1870 to 1881, Michael was then Ambassador to Switzerland from 1881 until 1885.

Dr. Michael Cramer was married to Mary Frances Grant Cramer, sister of President and General Ulysses S. Grant also from Ohio.

Stephen Schueler, President of the American Club Denmark and the US Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark, Alan Leventhal are holding the original document signed by President Ulysses S. Grant appointing Dr. Michael Cramer Ambassador to Denmark. The historical document is a possession of the Schueler family.

The American Club Denmark’s annual Garden event was hosted by the US Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark, Alan Leventhal and his wife Sherry hosted at Rydhave, the US Ambassador Residence.
