Stephen Schueler, President American Club Denmark, welcomes United States delegation to MAN Energy Solutions Denmark Headquarters. MAN is the leading global vessel engine manufacturer with a 75% market share. Globally 33,000 vessels use two stroke engines, of which 25,000 are MAN engines.

The host MAN engine team included: Bjarne Foldager Jensen, Managing Director, Senior Vice President, Head of Global Two-Stroke Business; Klaus Engberg, SVP of Licensing; Ole Pyndt Hansen, SVP Two-Stroke R&D; Ernst Wilche, Head of Americas; Hrishikesh Chatterjee, Promotion Manager Americas; Dorte Jacobsen, Principle Emissions Engineer and Owen Taylor, Senior Specialist US-EPA (also a member of the American Club).

The United States Team included, Jennifer Hall Godfrey, Charge D’Affaires, United States Embassy Denmark; Carrie McKinney, Coast Guard Attache; Eric Severseike, Defense Attache; Stephanie Reed, Economic Officer and Bjarke Frederiksen, Commercial Attache.

The event was focused on the United States including major ship owners: Polar Tankers, Chevron, American Presidents Line, Exxon Mobile, US Navy, Liberty, Scorpio, Fairfield, Eagle Ocean and others. Including major shipyards with two stroke capability: Nassco, Kepler, Halter and Hanwha Philly Yard.

The seminar included maritime decarbonization/sustainability efforts, ammonia development and a tour of the new ammonia engine in test.
